Founded in 2023, the Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership (GACP) is a coalition of 62 aerospace clusters covering Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa that promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in the worldwide aerospace community.
GACP's legacy began in 2009 when the city of Hamburg spearheaded the founding of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP), a permanent partnership between 45 European aerospace clusters in 18 countries. Although the member clusters were largely mature—by itself, Aerospace Valley in Toulouse has over 800 members from industry and academia—they understood the incredible value of collaboration as a form of competition.
In 2018, EACP opened its arms to the world by organizing the Global Aerospace Cluster summits to promote collaboration among aerospace clusters worldwide. This initiative would blossom into what the GACP is today, a symbol of the enduring commitment of aerospace clusters worldwide to collaborate, innovate, and shape the future of the aerospace industry together.
